Trusting God

It is hard to trust God in hardship. . . we’ve all been there. Holding onto what seems solid instead of letting go and embracing God’s plan and design. It is immeasurably harder to trust God with our kids or when our kids are involved.

Don’t lose faith. Don’t lose hope. Don’t give up. Don’t let the devil win!

We have victory through Jesus! No weapon formed against God’s children shall prosper! We have nothing to fear.

God has a plan.

Jeremiah 29:11-14 says (“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all of your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the LORD, “and I will bring you back from captivity.)

God says He knows the plans He has for us. They are good plans, not to harm us, but to give us a hope and a future.

Wherever you are just know, it’s not the end. God still has a plan. Even if it seems ruined, God still has a plan. He will turn everything that you have gone through into a beautiful testimony. He will use your testimony to save lives.

Don’t get distracted.

Right now I’m in the middle of a waiting period, I’m seeking God for answers and relying on Him for strength. College is a lot more than expected with a baby. I feel like God is calling me to pour into this blog,(which I have been neglecting, I’m sorry,) but I can’t seem to ever find time. Every time I try to write I get interrupted and something is always due for school.

I’m sure many of your lives are filled to the brim with tasks and you still have to be that comfort for your child(ren) and it is overwhelming. God tells us to call on Him, to go to Him and pray. He promises to listen. Slow down. Take a breath. Seek God.

If the devil can’t take us down any other way, He will make us too busy to find time for God, what He has called us to, and even sometimes our family. Don’t get distracted by this world. There will always be things to do. Find time for what matters most. I can testify this seems nearly impossible. I have taken a hit on my grade because my baby didn’t feel well and I had to make a hard decision. I choose to spend the day caring, loving and nurturing instead of trying to hold baby and do school. Neither can get the attention they need that way.

Just take a moment to realize nothing in this world can come with us except the souls we help point to Jesus Christ. What is more important? The things we have to get done that seem so urgent? Or our kids, our family?

We can pour ourselves into work trying to provide but unless we trust Jehovah Jireh to provide it will never end, we will have wasted our precious time. Spend time with your babies. They need you most. It is our job to instill in them the Word of God and to teach them the attributes of Him through how we live.

Jesus was not in a hurry. He had faith. He stopped and gave attention to those who called on Him and needed Him.

We have to trust God.

Sometimes the future looks uncertain. He has a plan, we just have to trust it.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says (Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.)

We cannot walk with our own understanding. We don’t know a thing and if we don’t rely on faith then no knowledge is worth anything. We have to submit to God and He will provide and make a way for us.

Release your plans, goals, wishes and desires to Him. God knows your heart. He created us with dreams and desires for a reason. Trust His plan.

Maybe God has told you part of His plan and it’s dependent on something. Don’t put your faith in that dependent. It may not look how we think it will. We have to trust God that He will do as He promises. Don’t lose faith if something doesn’t turn out the way you thought it should. Trust God.

Sometimes God has more than one route to get us where we need to go and if someone isn’t in alignment with God’s will and we think the road has ended, it has really just rerouted. It isn’t over, it may just not involve people or things that you thought it would.

There will be trials.

John 16:33 says (I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.)

We will go through trials. We will go through hardship. It will refine and strengthen us though. It will become part of our testimony and lead others to Christ or help them in a similar situation.

God is still there. He will never leave you or forsake you. There is a reason for everything we go through. You may not see it but God has a plan.

Trouble is inevitable in this evil world. That is why we must shine our light bright for Jesus. Show others His love. Don’t conform to the pattern of this busy world.

He is good.

God is good. Surrender to Him. Give Him your burdens and plans. Don’t get distracted. Take time to give your attention to what needs it. Don’t lose hope. God has a plan. He is working for your good, even when we can’t see it.
